As beneficiaries, volunteers, professionals, and donors in international development, we have a front-row seat to incredible stories of change as a result of donations, grants and other social impact initiatives.
I want us to start a movement that celebrates these partnerships and programs so that people who never travel outside of their country, county, or even city understand that change is possible, and it is happening.

This movement could include a group art or education project, or inspire hundreds of thousands of individual posts on social media each day with photos, videos, stories of hope and transformation from around the world. This is not the place for writing or sharing technical reports, what we need right now is real-life footage, photos, and stories to inspire greater awareness, empathy, and shared responsibility for helping where we can.

Why This Matters
For those who have never traveled to other countries or seen poverty and suffering up close, it can be difficult to relate to the people working in international development or to the communities benefiting from this support. But the truth is, these efforts are making a profound difference.
When people understand the real stories behind development, they are more likely to support, advocate, and invest in a better future for all.​ Through honest, heartfelt, and easily relatable storytelling, we can show that international development truly matters—that support in the form of donations, volunteer hours, or grants is helping to change lives in real, tangible ways.
